NCPTA Partners with Barnes & Noble for Holiday Shopping Event

Keep NCPTA in mind when you’re doing your holiday shopping! NCPTA has partnered with Barnes & Noble for an online and in-store book fair!

Just use the code 12238648 in any North Carolina Barnes & Noble stores on Saturday, December 2, and NCPTA will receive a portion of the proceeds.

It’s a great day to shop!

Join us for one of our Lunch and Learns this spring!

Join NCPTA for our Spring 2018 Lunch and Learns! NCPTA is hosting a series of Lunch and Learns on the topics you want to talk about. Here are the first two topics:

January 11: What Every Parent Needs to Know about Vaccinations

Martha Snyder, MD of Duke Pediatrics will share how vaccines work; what the research says about vaccines, their effectiveness, and their risks; and why it’s important for every person who can be vaccinated be vaccinated.

February 8: What Every Parent Needs to Know about Transitioning to Middle School

Dr. MariaRosa Rangel will address the most common parent and child concerns about the big move from elementary to middle school and set parents up for success in supporting their student.

We will give a summary of the class size legislation, background on school funding in NC and advocacy steps you can take before the legislature begins their special session on January 10.
