National PTA Prepares for Hurricane Sandy

National PTA offices will be closed until at least noon EST on Tuesday, October 30. They will be bringing down their servers this afternoon to protect the IT equipment. This will impact email, phone service, and Web applications. NCPTA uses our own servers so services from NCPTA will not be impacted. BCBSNC Offers Physical Activity Equipment Grants

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is accepting applications for Physical Activity Equipment grants. These are small (up to $5,000) one-time, one-year grants focusing on projects that result in increased physical activity. Applications are due October 26, 2012. Local PTAs should contact Marianne Hedrick Weant for additional assistance with grant application.
