PTAs Win Gold Key Membership Award from NCPTA

The North Carolina PTA annually recognizes PTAs across the state for building strong teams of parent and teacher volunteers. The Gold Key Award acknowledges teams who received the Blue Key Award for 2012-2013 and added 25 new members by January 15.

PTAs Celebrate Take Your Family to School Week in February

National PTA’s Take Your Family to School Week  is Feb. 18-22, 2013, and the focus this year is safety at home and at play.

National PTA encourages all local PTAs to make plans to participate in this fun week and host activities for families at school. Planning tools and a 2013 Guide are available online from National PTA with valuable lessons plans and take-home resources for families.

NCPTA congratulates 11 PTAs in North Carolina for successfully applying for and securing $500 grants from National PTA to assist with activities for Take Your Family to School Week.

National PTA Legislative Conference Registration is Open

The 2013 National PTA Legislative Conference will take place March 12-14 in the Washington, DC area. Join fellow PTA advocates for this exciting three-day event that provides in-depth discussion about PTA’s public policy priorities through interactive workshops, keynote speakers, advocacy trainings and more.  

The conference will close on Capitol Hill – where attendees have the opportunity to put their skills and expertise to use through visits with their Members of Congress. Learn more.
