These grants provide PTA units or councils with small amounts of money to improve the health at their schools and to share their work with NCPTA and all of our units. The projects varied, and we look forward to featuring their successes and lessons learned starting this summer!

Join NCPTA for our Spring 2018 Lunch and Learns! NCPTA is hosting a series of Lunch and Learns on the topics you want to talk about. Here are the topics:
March 8: What Every Parent Needs to Know About Sleep
From babies to high schoolers, sleep is an ever-changing challenge to parents. Join Dr. Jesse Hart of WakeMed Pediatric Practices to talk about all things sleep and sleep hygiene from babies to teens.
May 10: What Every Parent Needs to Know about Concussions
Concussions are a hot topic in sports these days, but it’s so hard to stay abreast of the recommendations. Paul Cohen, MD of WakeMed Health and Hospitals will address the most common parent and child concerns about concussions and how you can keep your child healthy and safe.
June 14: What Every Parent Needs to Know About Starting Kindergarten
Dr. MariaRosa Rangel will address the most common parent and child concerns about the big move to kindergarten and set parents up for success in supporting their student.
