Healthy Schools Grants

School Meal Challenge Mini Grant Program:
Lunch Box Edition

The NCPTA 2020/21 school year ‘Healthy Schools’ Mini Grant application is now open! PTA units or councils in good standing can be awarded up to $1,000 to fund a project or event that will be used for school nutrition engagement and building awareness/support for school nutrition programs at your local school(s) across the state. Councils can include multiple schools within their district for their proposal.

School nutrition matters for building healthy bodies and minds and Healthy Meals = Successful Students. The goal of this grant is to foster greater connection between students, PTA members, and school nutrition staff via a community building project/event. Your proposal must include school nutrition staff at your local school.

For the 2020-21 school year, this event should be planned as a 100% virtual event, so please keep that in mind. Please note this grant will require at least one member from your planning team to attend a planning webinar and complete a detailed project plan with state office staff. More details will be provided once the grant is awarded. We look forward to seeing your applications-Apply Now!
