Dear NCPTA Members,
I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve as the next President of the North Carolina PTA. As I begin this journey, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting children, families, schools, and communities across our great state.
For more than a century, PTA has been the leading voice for children and families. Our strength has always come from our members—parents, caregivers, educators, students, and community partners who believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
As we look toward the future, I believe our work is rooted in a simple but powerful principle: Together, We ACE It.

Advocate for every child by elevating family voices, supporting public education, and ensuring that all students have access to opportunities that help them thrive.
Connect families, schools, and communities through meaningful engagement, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to student success.
Educate leaders, families, and communities by providing resources, training, and opportunities that strengthen our collective impact.
This vision aligns with NCPTA’s commitment to Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy, and Data (LEAD) as we continue building a stronger organization and expanding our impact throughout North Carolina.
As your President, I am committed to:
- Strengthening local PTAs and supporting unit leaders.
- Growing membership and increasing engagement across the state.
- Expanding male engagement and family involvement initiatives.
- Building strategic partnerships that support students and families.
- Using data to inform decisions and measure our success.
- Ensuring that every member feels welcomed, valued, and empowered.
This year, I invite each of you to join me as we continue Getting Back to Our Roots: It Takes a Village. Together, we will honor our legacy while building a stronger future for every child.
One area of special focus during my presidency will be increasing the engagement of fathers and father figures across North Carolina. Research consistently shows that when fathers and positive male role models are actively involved in a child’s education, students experience greater academic success, improved attendance, stronger social-emotional development, and increased confidence. Together, we can create more opportunities for fathers and father figures to become visible, engaged, and valued partners in our schools and communities.
