Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is accepting applications for Physical Activity Equipment grants. These are small (up to $5,000) one-time, one-year grants focusing on projects that result in increased physical activity. Applications are due October 26, 2012. At the 2012 Annual PTA Convention and Exposition, PTA leaders voted to support safer routes for bicycling and walking to school. In support of this effort, hundreds of PTAs participate in International Walk to School Day every year. This year’s Walk to School Day is October 3.
