November is Healthy Lifestyles Month

Catch up on some of the latest health and safety news from National PTA in the current issue of Our Children. NCPTA was thrilled to see the work of Laurel Park PTA and Advocates for Health in Action (AHA) featured on pages 11 and 13 of this national publication.

“We applaud PTA leaders, volunteers, and our friends at AHA for making healthy school communities a top priority,” said Debra Horton, executive director of NCPTA. “This national spotlight is something that many of you should be very proud of, and I encourage PTAs to exchange ideas and help each other make the healthy choice.”

Our Children is available digitally. Below, we’ve listed a few topics of interest from the current issue:

  • Anaphylaxis – Life-Threatening Allergic Reactions
  • PTA and NFL Team Up for Youth Sports Safety
  • Fire Up Your Feet Initiative
