And the Winners are… The Awards program of the North Carolina PTA provides us with the opportunity recognize and celebrate the exemplary efforts of PTA/PTSA units, councils, community partners, and individuals throughout our state. It is an opportunity to say “thank you” to deserving people who have contributed greatly to improving the lives of children. The North Carolina PTA recognizes PTAs across the state throughout the year for building strong teams of parent, teacher and community volunteers (learn more about Membership Record Awards). The Bronze Acorn Award acknowledges PTAs whose membership as of March 15 has increased by at least 10 percent compared to the previous year. Click here to view the list of recipients.

Membership dues are critical for us to continue the advocacy work that we do on behalf of all children in North Carolina, and we thank the many PTAs who submitted their dues by the October 15th deadline. The 2020-2021 Blue Key PTAs are listed here. Congratulations!

We are delighted to announce the 2019-2020 Gold Key winners. The Gold Key is awarded to PTAs who send in dues to the State Office for an additional 25 members by January 15th. Congratulations!

The Matthew C Graziadei Achievement Scholarship Award from the Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center is available to any North Carolina high school senior with a disability, and includes a $1,500 award that can be used for any post high school learning experience/training or for equipment/technology needed for employment. NCPTA’s annual awards provide an opportunity to celebrate outstanding teachers, principals, school administrators, volunteers, and PTAs. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to say “thank you” to deserving people who have contributed greatly to improving the lives of children. Nominations are being accepted from now until March 15, 2020, and winners will be announced at NCPTA’s Annual Convention in Durham on May 15-16.
