Executive Director Search

The North Carolina PTA (NCPTA) is looking for a skilled Executive Director to manage current operations and guide the organization’s strategic direction. NCPTA is poised for greatness, with a seasoned staff, diverse board, 10 local councils, 110,000 members across the state, and the support of the dynamic National PTA.

We are looking for a creative and resourceful leader who can balance multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have successful experience in:

  • Serving as an executive director of a membership organization
  • Supporting a non-profit board of directors and providing appropriate board development
  • Overseeing multiple programs and events
  • Supervising staff and consultants
  • Conducting staffing assessments and restructuring organizations
  • Managing change
  • Fundraising, including managing a membership program
  • Recruiting and motivating volunteers

Timeline for Hiring

  • Application deadline: May 15th
  • Phone interviews: week of May 20th
  • In person interviews in Raleigh the first week of June
  • Ideal start date: mid to late June
