It’s time to pull out your calendars and put your plans in motion for Take Your Family to School Week. Join National PTA and families Feb. 17-21, 2014, for this important week that focuses on strong family engagement and the importance of partnerships among parents, teachers, and school administrators.
The timing of the week honors the day PTA was founded: Feb. 17, 1897. Throughout the week, PTAs and schools are encouraged to partner to host family-focused events with an emphasis on the theme, “Supporting Student Success.”
PTAs in NC Receive $1000 Grants
Nine PTAs from North Carolina have been been selected by National PTA to receive Take Your Family to School Week Grants for $1000 each. We applaud the grant recipients and all local PTAs for their commitment to family engagement, and we look forward to hearing your plans for Take Your Family to School Week.
