Emerging Leaders Conference Takes a Healthy Twist

In recent years, NCPTA has focused Emerging Leaders Conference topics on healthy learning. Nearly 100 PTA leaders gathered in Charlotte on Saturday, Feb. 8 for this year’s event. Guests were treated to a special appearance by Ben Hartsock of the Carolina Panthers. Hartsock even brought some of his family along and participated in a panel discussion with Fuel Up to Play 60, PTSA youth, educators and parents.

“We kept the crowd on the move with Energizer breaks and creative activity ideas for the classroom,” said Debra Horton, executive director of NCPTA. “They were literally dancing in the aisles, and we all had some great laughs.”
