How to Plan Inclusive PTA Events & Programs

“An IEP Road Trip”

The NCPTA Special Education Inclusion Committee hosted their first webinar session titled “An IEP Road Trip” on January 27th at 7:00 P.M. During this webinar, they explored different parts of the IEP and the rules of the road. They covered a lot of territory and how to navigate roadblocks and detours that may occur along the way. Also discussed was changes in traffic patterns such as virtual meetings and remote learning. Upon reaching the final destination, passengers had a better understanding of special education terminology, the IEP process and how to prepare for and participate in IEP meetings. We encourage you to view this session.
