SAS Offers Free Programming Courses

For all teachers, administrators, and staff wishing to learn STEM skills that are in high demand in today’s economy, two beginner SAS e-Courses, Programming 1 and Statistics 1, are now being offered by SAS for free. These courses coincide with the free release of SAS University Edition, and it complements a number of video tutorials that are already free of charge. NCPTA Hosts 2014 Parent Education & Leadership Conference in Winston-Salem

Institute for Emerging Issues Offers MOOC-Ed: World Class Teaching

More than 1,300 individuals from across the state attended the Emerging Issues Forum: Teachers and the Great Economic Debate to hear national and international speakers discuss and debate how to train, retain and support world-class teachers in every classroom in North Carolina. Emerging Leaders Conference Takes a Healthy Twist

In recent years, NCPTA has focused Emerging Leaders Conference topics on healthy learning. Nearly 100 PTA leaders gathered in Charlotte on Saturday, Feb. 8 for this year’s event. Guests were treated to a special appearance by Ben Hartsock of the Carolina Panthers.
