NCPTA is pleased to offer an additional Vision Driven Community Training in New Hanover County. The training will focus on healthy living and learning with special presentations on school breakfast, local foods, and classroom energizers.  Participants will also strengthen advocacy skills and learn about PTA finance and leadership. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is planning to release the READY accountability report on November 7. An analysis of the initial impact of the new standards indicates that we should expect to see lower scores in 2013 because there has been a shift in focus from grade-level readiness to a higher standard of career and college readiness.
