NCPTA Supports HB 919 Reinstate Funding for Driver Education

HB 919 Funding for Driver Education. State funding for driver education is set to expire this year. HB 919 reinstates this funding by providing a dedicated funding stream to continue state funding for driver education. This bill funds the Driver Education Program, while reducing the allowable fee from $65 to $45 and creates a funding stream with fees beginning in 2016-2017. The North Carolina PTA applauds students and PTA families across the state for participating in PTA Reflections, a national arts recognition program that encourages students to explore their talents and express themselves.
