Emerging Leaders Conference Takes a Healthy Twist

In recent years, NCPTA has focused Emerging Leaders Conference topics on healthy learning. Nearly 100 PTA leaders gathered in Charlotte on Saturday, Feb. 8 for this year’s event. Guests were treated to a special appearance by Ben Hartsock of the Carolina Panthers. National PTA Offers Smart from the Start Community Outreach Grant

Smart from the Start: Community Outreach provides PTA Regions, Districts and Councils with tools and resources to educate families of children ages 3-5 and partner with a local neighborhood community to improve awareness of energy balance concepts. Energy balance is finding a balance between the calories we consume through what we eat and drink and the calories we burn through physical activity.
