April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and NCPTA wants to make sure PTA members and families know about the resources provided by SAFEchild. A big high five goes to all Wake County parents and educators who have helped SAFEchild provide the Funny Tummy Feelings program in schools. Action for Healthy Kids Offers School Grants

School Grants for Healthy Kids are available for the 2013-2014 school year. Action for Healthy Kids has officially opened applications for grants to create or expand school breakfast programs. PTAs, individual schools, or districts may apply for these funds. PTAs that wish to apply for the grants must work cooperatively with the principals and child nutrition managers in their schools to oversee the grant process.
